Black Wade! And you can win a copy!

The rough and merciless pirate Black Wade and his band are the scare of the seven seas. And just like his greed for gold is insatiable, his sexual craving knows no boundaries as well: When they board a British ship, Wade takes Lieutenant Jack Wilkins as a prisoner to satisfy his lust. At first Wilkins struggles with all his might, but soon he has to acknowledge that he actually has pleasure in the eager sexual encounters with the handsome pirate. In the meantime his fiancée Annabeth is waiting wistfully for the return of Jack, not knowing if he’s still alive. And on the pirate ship emotions are running high as well: Buccaneer Marak keeps a jealous watch over the prisoner Jack. He would love to polish Wade’s gun barrel himself. Due to the rising nervousness Wade realizes that he cannot allow himself the tender feelings he begins to have for Jack. To prove how merciless he is, he maroons Jack on a raft and relinquishes him to the forces of the wide ocean. But that’s nowhere near the end of the story…

The book:
Kris and Sarah introduced me to this bit of loveliness. I got my book in the mail yesterday, devoured it, and want more. The artwork is stunning, and the story is smoking hot. The interaction between Jack and Wade is powerful and poignant, and I really had fun reading this book. Even had I not enjoyed the story...the artwork here is just breathtaking. This is not a book to be missed.

The Contest:
Amazon said they were backordered indefinitely, so I ordered from B&N and forgot to cancel my Amazon order. Oddly, I got my book from Amazon a few days after I ordered it *rolls eyes*. The bastages. But now I have two copies of Black Wade.

Soooo...I got to thinking. My TBR pile is uninspiring. I need a great story to drown in. Give me a book rec and tell me why you liked it so. Or just toss your name in the hat if you read so many wonderful books that you can't pick ONE. Will pick someone at random Sunday at midnight, HST.

I so want a copy of this! Have you thought of trying Tangled Web - the new RP book from Lee Rowan? I can recommend it as I got a sneak peek while Brit-picking for it. Blackmail and smugglers and dashing army officers and m/m Regency romance. It's very good :)

Alex will that be out on eBook?

It certainly should be... eventually. The other two are available at AllRomance ebooks, though it took quite a while before that happened. They were available in the Sony store within about a month of print publication, but the ARE copy didn't arrive til a lot later.

I'll play! Plus I have been looking at that book and it looks like tons of fun.

Sienna Black ~ To Touch The Stars
From: Liquid Silver Books

It's a M/M Sci-fi Romance which I find not many I like.
The Hero Lucan is blind and comes from this place called the Warren where his people live underground. One day he mysteriously wanders into the the camp of the enemy of his people "the surface dwellers" and pledges his support to the leader Talkirk Cymren. The romance starts from there. It has a natural BDSM tinge to it but really I enjoyed the complexity of the story and the world building.

Something you might enjoy.

Three books that I really enjoyed this year are A Red-Tainted Silence by Carolyn Gray, Uneven by Anah Crow and Zero at the Bone by Jane Seville.

You just keep teasing me with this, don't you? My mailman is going to fear me next week.

As soon as I read the blurb for this I immediately thought of that story about how Black Bart was in love with one of the men he took prisoner and took him as his mess mate for fucky-times. Did a google search and it doesn't seem like it's based on the same thing -- suppose I will find out when I get my copy.

I guess that's my book rec - "If A Pirate I Must Be" http://www.amazon.com/If-Pirate-Must-Be-Caribbean/dp/1602390193 - no hot man love unless you use your imagination, but Bart is kind of a bad ass and he had what has to be the coolest deaths in history.

I enjoyed Kal Colbalt's - Robotica which is an interesting exploration of sex with sentient machines.

Also enjoyed this author's post on The Laws of Robotics vs. BDSM

Wow. I love those pictures :)

I enjoyed Lyn Benedict's Sins and Shadows (http://www.amazon.com/Sins-Shadows-Lyn-Benedict/dp/0441017118/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1260572627&sr=8-1). The m/m content is a subplot but I really liked the story.

After hearing so much (hmm, mostly from Kris, actually), this is on my TBR list.

Zero at the Bone (Jane Seville) was a GREAT read. Go Fish (HT Murray) was fun and clever and had me laughing out loud. Also enjoyed Mind F*cked (Faerily Imperfect, Book 1) (Mia Watts).
